New Feature: Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) Safe Links in Teams
Teams has a new feature called Advanced Threat Protection, or ATP, Safe Links. This is to help improve the quality of the security within Teams. In more detail this allows Teams to check the links that people select within Teams are safe, once the user selects the link Teams will check the safety of the link and if it comes back malicious then the user will receive a Blocked page.
Updated Feature: MyAnalytics rollout - Dashboard, Email Digest and Admin controls
There is a new Phase to MyAnalytics that will be rolled out to your organisation. This will include Dashboard, Email Digest and Admin controls. New features include user statistics and productivity insights about their work habits which will now be displayed on the dashboard. You will also receive a weekly digest through email that highlights the previous week. There are also many more features to explore.
Feature update: Teams Global CsTeamsMeetingPolicy update and lobby support
There will be changes made to AutoAdmittedUsers settings in CsTeamsMeetingPolicy. These will introdude lobby support through Meeting Options for meeting organisers. This change will mean the AutoAdmittedUsers setting to everyone within Host-Global. The users that will be effected by this change are those without tenant:global.
Updated Feature: Outlook on the web - More controls for events from email
There will now be more control for events within email for outlook on the web. This update does not apply to an Office 365 subscriptions within GCC. This means that users can now control the events that are automatically added to their calander as well as the events displayed in a summary card at the top of the email confirmation. These can be found in Settings > Calendar > Events.
Feature update: Office 365 Client Licensing and Activation Improvements
There will be changes to Office 365 licensing technologies. This will make it more reliable, resilient and will help simplify activation management and streamline the office activation experience for users. Users will still sign-in to activate the Office on their decide. This means that if single sign-on is enabled then office will automatically pick up the credentials and activate Office.
New Feature: Outlook mobile app configuration policies for devices without enrolment
There will be new support for IT admins to deploy outlook for IOS and Android general app configuration settings for devices that have the Intune App Protection Policies. So now, you will have the ability to manage the app configuration setting for Outlook mobile without enrolling that device. And within the outlook setting there are on and off options for saving contacts, blocking external images, requiring bio metric based access.
Updated Feature: Outlook on the web - New experience roll out
There is a new experience to Outlook on the web. This has been based on previous feedback that has been taken into consideration to fix the experience.
New Feature: Save for later on Files
There will be a new feature in Files in which the performance will be improved by removing any special redirection from portal.office.com. Save fotr later also allows used to keep documents that are interesting to them within an easily accessible list across Office 365.
Updated Feature: Joining SharePoint hubs can be performed by site owners
SharePoint hub has a new feature so site owners can now associate their site with a SharePoint Hub. Before the update associating with a hub site required site collection and admin privileges. So with the update the permissions will be updated so that site owners can associate their sites to a hub.
